This role requires you to be extremely creative in order to design and develop websites and various marketing materials. You will work as a valued member of a project delivery team dedicated to ensuring our work meets the highest quality and design/content standards.
Our Senior Designer is responsible for understanding customer goals and translating them into a visual web user interface and finally a fully functional website or other related visual communication materials.
This position includes the option of working from a remote location ( ie: your home ) plus we have full and part-time permanent positions available. We will also consider contract positions for the right candidate. Salary relative to experience and any added value that could be contributed on the applicants behalf.
I. Skill Requirements, Experience and Education:
Experience:
• 2 + Years of Industry experience
• A history of graphic design, both web user interface and print media
• A history of designing and developing corporate websites, from mock-up to final implementation
• Candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio of work and sample URLs
Required Skills:
• Solid understanding of web standards and user interface best practices
• Ability to develop interactive prototypes showing basic form and functionality used for both usability testing and presentation
• Strong understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other standard graphics/HTML editing software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Web Content Management
Desired Skills:
• Experience with WordPress
• Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and all sorts of other acronyms are an incredible bonus.
• Experience using various technologies to interface with web services
• Practical experience with cross-browser testing
• Capable of understanding business objectives and be able to translate that business logic into technical design
• Able to work in a fast-pace team environment and be adaptable to the demands of all levels and types of production duties
• Experience with Blogs, Theming and Template Engines
